NJ Pacey Landscaping Ltd of Crowland near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, has purchased a Becx HS131HR hedge cutting head and WLA60 loader arm combination from UK importer, Fentons of Bourne. The new equipment will be mounted on an Avant 635 tool carrier to provide Pacey's with a compact, highly manoeuvrable unit for their grounds maintenance activities.

Adam Quant, a director of the 35-year-old family-run business says, "I saw the Avant and Becx combination a couple of years ago and was impressed with its capabilities. Fentons have been a trusted business partner for many years and have supplied two of the three Avants that we have operated on our fleet.

"We have a small staff of eight, so any mechanised solution is welcome. We would normally use flails for our hedge work or resort to hand cutting where presentation is paramount. The flail heads tend to leave a very rough finish, but this Becx HS131 has a very good cutting and mulching action, leaving a very acceptable finish, so it's ideal for prestige contracts that demand high level of presentation. The mounting arm can be extended by 60cm and tilted by 105 degrees providing the manoeuvrability to trim a wide range of hedges."

N J Pacey Landscaping was founded in 1987 by Norman Pacey and in 1999 became a limited company. Operating across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Leicestershire and Norfolk, they provide landscaping, groundscare and arboricultural services to domestic and commercial customers. In 2011 Norman's daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Adam, a qualified arboriculturalist, joined the company.
