A strategic agreement between Pitchcare and the Isle of Man Farmers will enable sports clubs and grounds professionals easy access to over 2000 product lines within Pitchcare's portfolio

The Isle of Man Farmers have recently invested in a dedicated full time amenity expert based on the island, with former Head Groundsman at King Williams College, Mike Atherton, joining the business team.

Mike, a loyal Pitchcare contributor and customer for a number of years, will focus on providing the island's sports clubs and turf care businesses with agronomy expertise and product service.

Pitchcare Managing Director Dave Saltman commented, "We are pleased to be supporting sports surface development on the island in conjunction with the Isle of Man Farmers, a long established and well respected local company. The addition of Mike Atherton, with his knowledge and credibility within this industry will, I am sure, be of huge benefit to sports surfaces and green areas on the island. "

Mike goes on to say: "Having recently moved from being a practising Groundsman to this new, challenging role, one of my first objectives was to ensure that we at Isle of Man Farmers had the best level of service and back-up available to us, which we aim to pass on to our customer base. Having been a long time contributor and customer of Pitchcare, I am well aware of the levels of service and professionalism that they continually deliver. I am therefore delighted to be working in partnership with Pitchcare, and look forward to providing enhanced levels of service to those on the island who are seeking a local company to deal with, along with a level of service which can be expected from one of the largest and most successful amenity suppliers in the industry."
