Pitchcare Super Store for 2006
Pitchcare Super Store for 2006
By Dan Hughes
The Pitchcare online shop is being redesigned for 2006. The launch of the new shop coincides with the recent addition of over 3000 products to the Pitchcare range. The aim for the new shop is to provide a huge range of products whilst focussing on being contemporary in design, and easy for customers to navigate.
The improvements follow a marked increase in online sales during 2005. Originally set up for Groundsmen and Greenkeepers the shop now attracts a diverse range of customers including contractors, schools, landscapers and Parish Councils. Customers can receive specialist advice on any product, from the Pitchcare team.
The 3000 plus products on the shop includes new ranges from Osprey Irrigation, Garfitts Tines, Mallsons Safety Boots, and John Deere Tractor Toys for the mini Groundsmen & Greenkeepers in the family. The latest technical knowledge and information from the industry is now available to buy with a wide range of specialist books provided by leading publishers John Wiley & Sons and Taylor & Francis now available at discounted prices to all Pitchcare members.
We aim to bring you the latest and best technical products and we are constantly adding more to the shop, this week the Macroscope and Prism Gauge, specifically designed for detailed inspection of turfgrass and identificaton of turfgrass diseases have been added. To maintain the perfect angles for bedknifes to ensure mowers achieve that precise cut, the Rapid Facer Cylinder Sharpener and Rapid Relief machines also by Bernhard & Co are now possible to purchase through the Pitchcare Shop.
The shop's success correlates with a huge increase by consumers in online purchasing. The Interactive Media Retail Group estimate that a total of 24 million shoppers will have spent more than £20billion online this year, just in the UK. This comes as people become more familiar and confident with buying online. Other factors such as high fuel prices, parking charges, lower prices online and overall convenience have persuaded people to shop online.
Pitchcare Managing Director David Saltman believes; "The excellent service Pitchcare strives to offer and the competitive pricing of products, has contributed significantly to Pitchcare online shop's success. In 2006 we want to feature products from all the industry's major suppliers, ultimately increasing competition, choice, and optimising value for all our customers".
Pitchcare promises to supply members with quality, top of the range products at highly competitive prices. The Chelwood range of rakes has recently been added and more top quality British made tools from Bulldog are set to be available through the Pitchcare Shop in the near future.
The additions complement an existing range of seeds, fertilisers, sports equipment, specialist hand tools, sprayers, protective covers, marking paint and machinery. We always appreciate the views of our members and customers at Pitchcare and would gladly like to hear of any improvements or products you would like to see on the shop in 2006.
