Pitchcare welcome the Grounds Guild of Guernsey to Wolves
Pitchcare were delighted to arrange a guided tour for eight members of the Grounds Guild of Guernsey around the newly developed Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground.
Wolves Head Groundsman Wayne Lumbard and Pitchcare's Senior Technical Manager, John Handley accompanied the group around the site awarded Category 1 status by the FA's Elite Player Performance Plan.
The Guernsey Grounds Guild, setup in May 2015 approached Pitchcare to see if there was the possibility of arranging a site tour as part of a November group visit to the UK. Pitchcare's Marketing & Business Manager Dan Hughes organised the tour around the Championship Club's impressive facilities: " We work closely with Wolves to implement a tailored agronomy program for both Molineux and the Training Ground pitches. Wayne and the team do an outstanding job in delivering first class surfaces for Molineux and the Sir Jack Hayward training ground and we support them with all aspects of technical back up, product supply and service, which makes it an ideal site to showcase customers and groups round."
The Guild was formed by local grounds care professionals from many sectors including golf courses, municipal facilities and sports grounds with the aim of improving sports facilities on the island through education and networking. They thoroughly enjoyed learning from Wayne and expressed their thanks to Wayne and the club for the visit, with the group commenting on the impressive standard of pitches in November.
