Pitchcare is delighted to announce the appointment of Dewi Williams as the new Turfcare Content & Community Creator, a role designed to strengthen connections across the grounds management and sports turf industry through compelling storytelling, practical knowledge sharing and engaging digital content.

Dewi joins Pitchcare with a unique blend of experience across the sports and finance sectors, alongside a genuine passion for grassroots sport and grounds management. Based in North Wales, he currently serves as Chairperson and volunteer groundskeeper at Llanfairfechan Town FC, giving him first-hand insight into the challenges, successes and dedication required to maintain quality sports surfaces at community level.

In his new role, Dewi will be travelling across the UK meeting grounds teams, greenkeepers and turf professionals, capturing the stories behind the industry's people, places and projects. Through videos, interviews, features, social media content and on-site visits, he will help showcase the expertise, innovation and hard work that so often goes unnoticed behind the scenes.

Dewi's experience also extends to international and UEFA football operations, providing him with a broad perspective of the sports industry, from elite competitions to grassroots participation. His goal is to shine a light on the outstanding work being carried out across the sector while creating content that informs, inspires and strengthens the turfcare community.

Speaking about his new position, Dewi said: "I'm incredibly excited to be joining Pitchcare at such an important time for the industry. Having experienced sport from both a volunteer and professional perspective, I understand just how much work goes into creating and maintaining great playing surfaces. I'm looking forward to meeting as many people as possible, sharing their stories and helping showcase all the fantastic work being done across the grounds management and turfcare sectors."

Pitchcare believes the new role will play an important part in bringing the industry closer together by highlighting the people behind the surfaces, sharing practical knowledge and celebrating innovation throughout the profession.

Pitchcare Editor Kerry Haywood commented: "We're thrilled to welcome Dewi to the team. His enthusiasm for grassroots sport, his understanding of grounds management and his natural ability to connect with people make him a perfect fit for this role. We know he'll become a familiar face across the industry and we're excited to see the stories he uncovers and shares."

Industry professionals will have their first opportunity to meet Dewi at GroundsFest this week, where he will be spending time throughout the event connecting with visitors, exhibitors and grounds teams.

If you're attending GroundsFest, be sure to pop by the Media Hub (next to the Pitchcare theatre in Hall 1), say hello to Dewi and help give him a warm welcome to the Pitchcare community.
