Ransomes Jacobsen announce new dealer for Scotland

Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd, the Ipswich based turf maintenance equipment manufacturer, has confirmed that Fairways (GM) Ltd will succeed Scottish Grass Machinery Ltd as the distributor for Ransomes Jacobsen products in Scotland with effect from 8th November 2004.

Fairways GM Ltd is a subsidiary company of the Fairways Group Ltd, a holding company operating diverse, yet complementary companies in the sports amenity sector.

The Fairways Group is an established, family-owned business based at West Yonderton, close to Glasgow airport. Its major subsidiary companies are:

  • Sportsgrounds Ltd - one of the leading design and constructors of outdoor sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts, playing fields and bowling greens
  • Sportsgrounds Machinery (a division of Sportsgrounds Ltd) - agents for Procast and TIP Inc. machinery offering a comprehensive range of heavy duty bulk top dressing machinery and grass grooming and regeneration machines
  • Wiedenmann (UK) Ltd - founded in 1991, the sole UK importer of grounds maintenance machinery manufactured by Wiedenmann GmbH. Wiedenmann UK is an established name in the turf care markets of the United Kingdom and Ireland through their successful Terra Spike range of deep aerators.
