Scotts and Syngenta unveil a revolution in turfgrass management.
By Lucy Ohsten
Scotts and Syngenta have chosen BTME to launch Primo Maxx® - a revolutionary new liquid growth regulator designed for use on all forms of turf, from the finest golf greens, to sports pitches and coarser landscaping applications.
Using unique chemistry, Primo Maxx makes turf stronger by increasing both root and lateral shoot growth. Trials carried out at 25 golf and sports sites in the UK have proven the product makes turf stronger, healthier, more resistant to drought, more vigorous at lower cutting heights and better able to survive in stressful conditions. In addition, a tighter, denser surface can be achieved, providing superior fairways and faster, more uniform putting surfaces.
Visitors to the show are invited to attend a presentation on Primo Maxx in the Queen's Suite at 3.30pm on Tuesday 24 January, where many of the 25 trials participants will be on hand to answer questions.
Also new at the show is a range of three Greenmaster liquid fertilizers for fine turf applications in golf and sport. These advanced, fast-acting products enable users to spray turf with a direct nutrient source when required, ensuring a faster plant response than with granular applications.
The product contains trace elements that are chelated for improved availability, plus vitamins for health and improved stress tolerance. Extremely flexible, Greenmaster can be tank mixed with other products and comes in innovative packaging with an anti-glug mechanism that ensures a smooth flow of liquid.
Scotts improved website (www.scottsprofessional.co.uk) will be up and running at the show. The site contains a wide range of product and technical support information, plus safety data sheets. The company is running a special giveaway at the show for those registering with the new site on the stand.
