CONSTRUCTION
Take a look at STRI Ireland in action working on Dun Laoghaire's new 27 hole golf course development project. The new course will replace their present site at Eglington Park. STRI designed the course irrigation and drainage system and forms part of the design team driving the construction project forward.

ADVICE
Dr Ian McClements, Area Manager for STRI Ireland, will be hosting a free seminar at the show on Wednesday December 30th at 3.00 pm. "Can an agronomist improve your turf? - what you should know before you hire one".


BOOKS
New for the show are two important books.

• STRI Guidelines - Golf Green Construction in the United Kingdom.
  Developed by STRI these are the first guidelines for golf green construction in the UK and other similar temperate maritime regions in other countries. Special show discount 10%.

• A Natural Course for Golf.
  A second book compiled by Malcolm Peake who also produced "Confessions of a Chairman of Green". This latest title advocates a return to the more traditional values and methods in the ecological management of natural resources on the golf course. Special show discount 10%.
