Celebrating 75 years, STRI Scotland continues to offer you independent help and support for your golf courses, sports pitches and bowling greens. STRI provides a comprehensive range of services including agronomic advice, design, construction, drainage, irrigation and golf course architecture and ecology. Additional resources from Head Office in Bingley include laboratory testing, analysis and evaluation, and mail order book services and training.

TESTING FOR USGA GOLF GREENS

Following accreditation in April, from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), STRI has gained a place on the USGA's approved list for the testing of rootzone materials, specified in the construction of USGA putting greens.

TRAINING

A series of specialist one-day courses are scheduled from 15th November at Bingley and in Dublin.

IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

STRI Scotland have been working with the Scottish Golf Environment Group, the SGU and the Scottish Executive, to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on golf course management. The project has now been completed and the results are in the process of documentation.
