Really innovative advances in the design of garden machinery are few and far between. Rotary mowers for instance have remained basically unchanged for decades but things are about to change.Introducing the new Al-Ko Vario Rotary Mower from Rochford Garden Machinery.

This exciting new product incorporates an articulated steering system enabling the operator to steer the machine into tight areas by a tiller mechanism connected to the handlebars. This easy and effective feature means many awkward areas can now be reached without the need to trim round after the main mowing. Round trees, posts, flowerbeds, buildings easy mowing is assured with the Al-Ko Vario. A real advance in mower technology.

The new mower has a 46cm (18in) cutting width, individual height of cut adjustment between 2.5 & 7.5cm and a big 65-litre collection bag. A plug is supplied for the easy conversion to a mulching mower.

Two models are in the line-up, the 4700B Vario - Push version and the 4700BR Power Drive. Both models are powered by a Briggs & Stratton XRQ Quantum 5.5hp engine.

The Al-Ko Vario 4700B has a RRP of £319, the power driven 4700BR retails at £379. All prices include Vat.
