The Tractor Choice for Greenkeepers

The latest compact tractors from New Holland, being launched at BTME 2006, show the company's on-going commitment to identifying and meeting the needs of greenkeepers and groundcare professionals.

The new TC31D-A and TC35D-A have 31hp and 35hp capacities respectively, and further enhance the breadth of New Holland's TCD-A range, which is particularly popular with greenkeepers.

Mindful that turf managers have to minimise the risk of ground compaction, New Holland has used the same chassis for the new tractors as is used on the existing 27hp TC27D-A model. This means that these latest units offer more power without any significant weight increase. New tyre options are also offered so that users can achieve the optimum tractor footprint.

The TC31D-A has a 9 forward/3 reverse speed, sliding mesh transmission, with 3-range hydrostatic transmission available as an option. Hydrostatic transmission is fitted as standard on the TC35D-A. Both models have 4-wheel drive and can be fitted with New Holland's unique SuperSteer™ front axle, giving an unrivalled 75° of turn angle.

New Holland's aim to design tractors for the 21st century is reflected by the modern styling throughout the TCD-A range. Their curvaceous panels look good and are highly practical, such as the sloping engine hood, whose narrow profile gives excellent all-round visibility.

The tractors are also available with a Q-cab, incorporating a 2-speed air pressurisation unit with a heater, an opening windscreen, deluxe seat and work lights at front and rear.

Other range enhancements to the popular TCD-A line-up include the larger TC40D-A and
TC45D-A, which have 40hp and 45hp diesel engines respectively, and more recently a smaller 24 horsepower model, the TC24-D. This highly manoeuvrable small tractor made its UK debut at Saltex in September, along with the new TZ Sub Compact range. All these model additions maintain the same New Holland emphasis on quality and innovation throughout.

With such diversity of power outputs and flexibility in terms of specification, it is little wonder that these stylish, high work-rate New Holland workhorses are to be found at a steadily increasing number of golf courses.
