What have a farmer, a postman and a Yellow Pages salesman got in common? Answer - they're all now successful Complete Weed Control franchisees!

The leading amenity weed control contractor has a number of franchises available immediately at various locations across the UK, offering others the opportunity to develop a business that is both secure and lucrative with repeat business year on year in their own exclusive area.

Following its launch in 1972, CWC made its first franchise areas available a decade later. Today, 48 regional franchisees offer true national coverage, not just for weed control, but also for the application of fungicides, growth retardants, fertilisers, pest, disease and moss control agents. The company's franchising success was recognised in 2001, when it reached the final heat of the British Franchise Association's 'Franchisor of the Year' Awards.

Roger Turner, CWC founder and Chairman commented: "Our franchisees have a wealth of expertise and work to a very high standard - professionally, safely and cost-effectively. You'll receive all the help you need to achieve this, including two weeks of specialist training and ongoing assistance with marketing and business development, mentoring from experienced staff, corporate safety clothing and chemicals. We have a very diverse customer base that includes sports clubs, local authorities, theme parks and industrial businesses, so the work is always interesting and varied."

And the company's research and development programme means that you're always one step ahead of the competition. Innovations such as the Weed-IT, the most advanced application technology available for weed control, led to it achieving award-winning status for it's environmentally friendly methods of weed control.

Steve Hill became CWC's newest franchisee after purchasing the 'West Pennine' area in February this year. He's enjoying self-employment and the outdoor life after being made redundant from his job as a Customer Services Manager: "It felt very strange at first, especially as it was a brand new territory, so all my time was taken up with contacting prospective clients to let them know who I was. Now I've got some regular work with a local council and several new clients and am feeling very positive about the future. The support and advice I've received from the other franchisees has been tremendous. They've all been in my position at some point and their advice, based on years of experience has given me a lot of confidence."

The available franchise locations are Aberdeen, East Midlands, East Anglia South, Kent, Scotland South West, South Lancashire, North Pennine, West Wales and Wyvern.
