Turffit Grows from Strength to Strength

After another successful season which saw sales to golf courses treble, Turffit, the Fife based Turf grower, are continuing with their expansion plans to meet customer demands.

Earlier this month saw the arrival of a monster machine at Turffit. The Trebro Automatic turf harvester will revolutionise turf production at Kirkness Farm next to Loch Leven. This amazing machine can cut, roll and stack 2500 rolls of turf per hour and recently featured on the Discovery channel TV programme 'Mega machines'. Weighing in at 15 tonnes, 13 foot wide, 30 ft long and powered by a 140hp 4 cylinder 4.5L engine this machine is truly awesome to watch in action. This machine will help satisfy the ever increasing demand for top quality turf coming from golf courses in Scotland and Northern England.

Willie Baird, Partner said '' We are looking forward to improving efficiency as is our policy and on large orders we can pass savings onto the customer.''
