Will Brierley, a member of the groundstaff team at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, is to tackle the Great North Run in September to raise funds for Perennial, the charity that helps horticulturalists in need.

Speaking about his chosen charity, Will said: "I've been a groundsman at Wimbledon for seven years after studying for my National Diploma in Sportsturf at Myerscough College and working at The Northern Lawn Tennis Club in my summer holidays. I feel very blessed to have been lucky enough to work in sport which is a big passion of mine and so I think a charity like Perennial is a worthy cause for the sportsturf world."
