Good seed-to-soil contact matters

Whichever mixture is selected, good seed-to-soil contact is essential.

Seed sitting on top of dense vegetation has much less chance of establishing successfully.

Use suitable seeding equipment where available and aim for even distribution, paying particular attention to thin areas and heavily worn rink ends.

Topdressing is an important part of bowling green renovation because it can:
