Horrington Cricket Club Appeal

Horrington CC
A cricket club in Somerset has launched an appeal to fund the purchase of its ground. Horrington CC was founded in 1929 and the lease on its home ground at Chapel Piece is due to expire in September next year.

The club has been based at Chapel Piece for 36 years, and is hoping to raise £85,000 to allow them to purchase the site. So far, thanks to fund raising events and donations, the club has raised £43,000.

To help with generating funds, the club is notionally putting the square up for sale, at the cost of £25 per square yard (not to be taken away though), and the creation of a Hall of Fame Honours Board for the purchasers.

For more information, or if you want to support the club in some way, please contact the chairman, Ted Chappell, or Treasurer Kevin Russell on 01749 677527.
