Spain's No. 1 golf course, PGA Catalunya Resort, takes first major shipment of equipment

Catalunya delivery1The PGA Catalunya Resort, voted the No 1 golf course in Spain, has taken its first major tranche of course maintenance equipment following the recent signing of a five-year preferred supplier agreement with Ransomes Jacobsen. It was delivered to the resort by Ransomes Jacobsen's Spanish distributor, Green Mowers of Burgos. Ransomes Jacobsen is a Textron Inc (NYSE:TXT) company and more information can be found at www.ransomesjacobsen.com.

David Bataller, head greenkeeper responsible for the two 18-hole courses, the Stadium and the Tour said; "I'm absolutely delighted to take delivery of this shipment as we begin the significant upgrade of our course maintenance fleet. Included in this delivery we have Jacobsen's wide area fairway mowers, the highly productive R311T batwing rotary rough mowers, Cushman Turf-Trucksters, including one with a Turfco top dresser and a fleet of the new Cushman 1600XD turf utility vehicles. This new equipment includes some highly productive mowers that allow us to set up our two courses in just three hours every day and ensures we stay ahead of the players.
